Personal Finance benefits students in many different ways. On a practical level, it helps students avoid certain types of financial problems and deal constructively with those that come their way. A great way to learn more about finances and money matter is to ask questions and discuss these issues with parents and family members. Some of the topics we discuss will not affect you immediately, but will sometime during your lifetime. The following are areas we will be attempting to cover during the semester: Taxes, Checking, Savings, Types of Credit, Managing Credit, Investing, Insurance, Paying for College and Budgeting.
EXPECTATIONS
I expect BEST EFFORT. That means that you do your homework to the best of your ability. It means that you meet the homework deadlines. It means that you join in on the class discussion. Best effort also means that you are prepared for class. You will want a calculator (you can use phone for calculator) pencils, along with your computer, and headphones.
Cell phones will be turned in at the beginning of class.
